Today in Maths we're going to look at equivalent fractions!
All we do to find equivalent fractions is simplify them.
2/4 = 1/2. Here 2 quarters has been simplified to one half. This has been done by dividing both numbers (Top and bottom) by 2.
4/12 = 1/3 . Both numbers have been divided by 4.
3/15 = 1/5. Both numbers have been divided by 3.
GP: Question 1: Find the equivalent fractions .
Question 2: Find the fraction that has been shaded.
Workbook: Find the equivalent fractions.

Today in Guided Reading we're carrying on improving our prediction skills.
Yesterday we looked at how it's important that when we're making predictions we ensure that we:
-Always give a reason for our answer.
-Use clues from the text to make the prediction.
-Use knowledge to think about what is most likely to happen.
After reading the chapter 'The two finders' I want you to make predictions about what you think the two characters are saying! Use clues from the text, your knowledge about both characters and what has happened to inform what you write.
Today in writing you're going to write the first paragraph of your leaflet!
Paragraph one: What is chocolate?
In this paragraph you will explain to the reader what chocolate is! Tell them:
-How it tastes.
-What it looks like.
-The different varieties it comes in.
-Famous chocolate/popular chocolate.
In this paragraph you're going to also include speech:
Two very famous chocolate scientists have told you some extremely exciting information about chocolate and you're going to include this in your paragraph.
Dr Professor Marcus Marvenslavin (One of the world's leading chocolate scientist's) stated "Chocolate is the greatest invention of all time!"
Below there is a template which you can use to create a sentence with speech, a picture of scientist names you can use for your scientist and a picture of my paragraph. I have also attached a sheet which has better words to replace said! If you can find one that's appropriate, this will make your sentence much more exciting.
