MATHS-

Today we're starting a new chapter in Maths and it's all about fractions!

Today we're look at counting in tenths.

10/10 = 1.

GP- What does each shaded part of the picture stand for (How many tenths are shaded?)

Workbook- Question 1- How many tenths are shaded? What fraction is shaded?

Question 2- Fill in the blanks in the sequence.

TIMES TABLE CHALLENGE-

Count up in 7's up to 84! Film yourself doing it and send it the class email. Can you do it under 10 seconds?

In today's live lesson we're going to read more from both chapters and continue improving our summary skills by thinking of different sub-headings for a range of paragraphs from the chapters.

WRITING-

Today you're going to write your main paragraph in your letter! In this paragraph you're going to explain to the children what they will be doing at the factory if they're lucky enough to find a golden ticket...

You need to include:

-What they will be doing.

-Where they will be going (In time order).

-Who they will be meeting.

In your main paragraph you need to include time conjunctions so that the children will know what rooms they're visiting in time order.

Afterwards,

Following this,

Then,

Finally,

Underneath, there are maps of the chocolate factory with all of the names of the different rooms inside! Use this to help you with your writing.

Practice forming the spike letter ‘t’.

Firstly, go through the powerpoint which looks at computer mapping and how it works.

Then use the co-ordinates and put them into google maps!

Once you have done this write down the landmark that is there.

Finally, use the street view to have a search and explore around the area to see if you notice any differences and similarities between the landmarks.
