The anti-bullying ambassadors work alongside Miss Brown to ensure that all children feel safe, respected and that their opinions are listened to when at school. They will make sure that children do not feel lonely, worried or upset at playtimes. They will be able to help children to find a friend to play with  if they ever feel they need support in this area. In November, the anti-bullying ambassadors will receive training from the Diana Award with a specific focus on anti-racism. This will mean that they will be equipped with the tools to tackle any rare occasions of bullying head on to ensure the safe, kind school community we pride ourselves on at Westwood, will continue to flourish. The children will support their peers to speak out if they feel they are being bullied or if they think one of their friends are being bullied as well. The anti-bullying ambassadors show exemplary behaviour at all times and have been recognised for the kindness, respect and the tolerance they show to all the other children at Westwood. The anti-bullying ambassadors are going to shine this year at Westwood!

The anti-bullying ambassadors have worked together to create an anti-bullying charter. This has been shared during a whole school assembly. All chidlren pledged to adhere to the charter and to say no to bullying. The anti-bullying charter is displayed in each classroom as a reminder.

The anti-bullying amnbassadors undertook Anti-racism training in conjunction the Diana Award. The learnt about what racism is and how they can stand up to bullying.
