In KS1 children will learn about Christianity and Islam. They will learn about people of significance in the religions, what important symbols are such as the cross and menorah, how they belong to communities and understand about the places of worship.
In lower key stage 2 children will touch upon Christianity and Islamic faith again but will also touch upon Hinduism. They will look at the beliefs and practises, questions of meaning, purpose and value and mortality, diversity and identity within the given religions.
In upper key stage two children will look delve deeper into the thinking and belief of Christianity and the Islamic faith. They will also begin to look at the Sikhism religion. They will look at prayer, worship, celebrations, and pilgrimages with learning taking place through description and making connections.
