Maths - live on Teams at 9.30am

When we return to school tomorrow, we'll be completing our first test which is an arithmetic test. To practice, in today's live lesson we'll be doing an arithmetic test altogether. Then, the rest of the tests for the week are all wordy ones - so there are some word problems for you to have a go at below. As you know now with these question, A is easy and C is hard - you can self assess how you're feeling with it and when you're ready to move up a level.

Maths (Mr Hayes's Group) - live on Teams at 9.30am

Please complete the revision booklet below to prepare for your test when we return to school tomorrow. Try your best with the questions and put a star next to any you are unsure of.

Guided Reading - live on Teams at 10.30am

Today we are going to be practicing some reading questions as this week in our Guided Reading we are going to be completing some reading tests! We have already practiced some type of questions but we will be discussing them together on our live lesson about possible answers and how to find them and then your independent task is to read the resource below about the water cycle and answer the questions attached.

The powerpoint will be added as an example after the live lesson as the answers to what we will be discussing are on there!

Writing - live on Teams at 1pm

As we come to the end of the half term, it also means we are coming to the end of this adventure. At the end of the story, Willy Wonka gives the factory to Charlie. Charlie has put out a job advertisement for some new employees as his factory and we are going to apply for a job there. Today, I'd like you to think about what personality traits and characteristics somebody working in a chocolate factory might need. We'll talk about some of them in the live lesson and then on the sheet below, I need you to think really carefully about the questions and jot down some ideas. Please bring these back into school tomorrow as they will form the basis of our writing for the rest of the week.

Science - anytime

Follow the lesson below to learn about the life cycle of a flowering plant. Find out all of the information and then follow the instructions on the document below to complete the activities.

Spelling and handwriting - anytime

Follow the links below for a spelling lesson about the word ending -ture. There is then an activity and some handwriting to have a go at below.

Thank you and well done for all of your hard work and effort at home - we'll see you back in school tomorrow morning at 8.50am! Please bring your homework book, spelling book, times table book, reading book and reading record back tomorrow!
