Music within Adventures

At Westwood Primary School the children learn through 'adventures' a cross curricular approach. Below Yr 6 did an adventure based on the Myans and so they made and designed their own ancient instruments.

Reception have been singing some songs about 'The Three Little Pigs' with Mr Wears as part of our new adventure The Great Fairy Tale Disaster.

Year 6 have enjoyed Music as part of their Harry Potter themed adventure. They used a variety of different instruments  to create some motifs to accompany the Harry Potter soundtrack. They made sure to consider what Timbre, Dynamics and Tempo would be appropriate for each piece.

Year 4 have choreographed and performed their adventure song to 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'!

Year 3 and 4 have been writing their own raps in their adventure based on the story 'Billionaire Boy'. They learnt about rhythm and beat and how we rap in time with the music. They wrote their own lyrics that rhymed and performed these to the class.
