Every year, on the 13th September, we celebrate Roald Dahl’s birthday (also known as Roald Dahl Day). This year, we began the day with an assembly, where the teachers and children took part in a competition where their Roald Dahl knowledge was put to the test. Afterwards, the children did a carousel of activities, where they went to each class in their key stage and took part in something related to the Roald Dahl books.
In Upper Key Stage 2, the children took part in a variety of activities from Matilda and James and the Giant peach. These included Miss Trunchbull’s Javelin throw, peach experiments and hunting for Mr Wormwood’s cars around school.
