Trips and Visits
At Westwood Primary School we understand the importance of undertaking extracurricular activities in the Early Years and the benefit of these can not be overstated, they give children fun opportunities to learn new life-skills and build confidence. These are essential in allowing young children to have experiences which they may not have without them.
We organise trips and visits to support our Adventures. We sometimes ask for a small amount of money to contribute towards this and without your kind contributions we would not be able to allow these trips to go ahead.
Below are some examples of the experiences children get while in Reception.
In our 'Dinosaur Discovery' Adventure - We had a Mummy dinosaur visit, we later found one of her eggs on the school field.
Art in the Park - We take a lot of opportunities to enjoy our local park. We often take our lessons into the park.
Bonfire Night - we toasted marshmallows on our own fire and had sparklers to celebrate.
Traditional Indian Style Dancing to enhance our celebrations around the world Adventure
