Amazing Work in KS1
In KS1, children focus on learning about our local area and key geographical skills, such as using maps and compasses. They also begin learning how to compare different countries across the world.
Cycle A
During Cycle A, children in KS1 learn about countries and cities of the UK, Continents, Oceans and compass points. They also compare Nairobi and London with Leeds, as well as look at Middleton and the surrounding area.
Cycle B
In Cycle B, KS1 learn about aerial maps, Continents, Oceans and hot and cold locations. They also look in depth at our school and the local area around us.
