Editing

In Editing, we sometimes look at WABOLLs (What A Bad One Looks Like) which the children have a go at improving.
We also look at WAGOLLs (What A Good One Looks Like) so the children can pick out the good aspects of the piece.
In Big Edits, we look back at a previous piece of writing and have a go at improving it, sometimes rewriting passages or paragraphs in green pen.
With so much to write, even Year 6s can sometimes forget things like full stops. In this lesson, we read through a passage trying to work out where they should go.
In another editing lesson, we looked at removing conflicting or repeated information to make our writing more streamlined.
In another long edit, we focused on improving our introduction and conclusions.
