Stranded Scientist
Wow! We can't quite believe we're in the final half term of the school year. This half term our adventure is about the stranded scientist. We imagined that we were out at sea and our boat became stranded. Filey was the nearest shore, so we had to direct ourselves to the coastline.
The children wrote a setting description of Filey, thinking about their use of preposition and adjectives to ensure the reader could really imagine what it would look like from reading their text.
The children did a Burn2learn where they had to distinguish between the human and physical features in Filey. They found different statements around the school and put these into different categories.
This half term, we also put on a Banquet for the parents, where we cooked in class throughout the morning and put on a big feast in the afternoon!
