Reading

Start today by re-reading the first chapter of Floodland. Today, we are focusing on the unfamiliar vocabulary. Using the sheet, find the word in the text then find a definition for it by using a dictionary (or go online if you don't have one).

Writing

Today we looked at prepositional phrases (groups of words that tell you where something is in relation to something else). Look at the examples on the slides then have a go at writing your own sentence with a prepositional phrase in it. Then, write your first paragraph describing your first glimpse of Hogwarts.
