Magical Map

We found a magical map and it had invisible clues that only appeared after solving the previous clue. We had to use our listening skills and memory to solve the riddles. Eventually we unlocked the last clue and found an old hessian bag which contained magical beans. Beans with powers to do incredible things.

Following the magical map!

Here’s some of our writing about the magic beans

Writing sentences

This week we have introduced colourful semantics which is a particular way of teaching sentence structure through colour.

We have been writing who and what sentences.

First we look at the picture, say who we can see then we think about what they are doing. This give us a really good chance at writing independently. The ‘who’ is orange and the ‘what’. Is yellow.

example:

The Giant is chasing Jack.

Navigating through the maze to the castle.

We made our own mazes and moved marbles through them
