MATHS-

Today we are carrying on with taking away amounts!

Follow the exact same steps as yesterday:

 

STEP 1: Take away the pence.

STEP 2: Take away the pounds.

STEP 3: What you're left with is the answer.

 

GP: Answer all the questions by taking away the smaller amount from the bigger amount. 

 

WORKBOOK: Use the information on the page and the cost of the different items to fill in the missing gaps, follow the exact same steps apart from 2C where you need to add up all three items (add the pence, add the pounds.)

TIMES TABLE CHALLENGE-

Complete the 6x table sheet and record your time! 

INTERNET SAFETY DAY-

Today in the live lesson we will be going through this power point and discussing internet safety. If you can not access the live lesson, go through the powerpoint and complete the activity.

 

Activity: 

 

1. On purple mash there is a 2Do for everyone in KS2 which is an internet safety quiz!

 

2. COMPETITION- Design an internet safety leaflet. The hand in date is two weeks after the assembly so take your time and give it your best effort! Mrs Oates will then decide the winner of the competition. 

WRITING-

Yesterday in writing you:

 

-Looked at the features of a discussion. 

-Wrote an introduction to the discussion.

-Created a bank of arguments for both sides. 

 

Today's task is to write the 1st main paragraph for reasons to live in North America.

 

Before writing your main paragraph, complete the conjunctions activity. This will give you two sentences ready made to use in your paragraph!

 

There is also a list of conjunctions that you can include (Find attached below.)

 

Now, you can write your first paragraph

 

CHALLENGE. Can you include:

 

An exclamatory sentence?

Commas in a list?

Speech?

A range of interesting conjunctions?

ADVENTURE-GEOGRAPHY-

Yesterday you looked at different physical and human geography from both North America and the U.K. Today you're going to compare them! 

 

Firstly, go through the powerpoint. Afterwards, think about how the two places are different using your knowledge from the first lesson too! Finally, fill in the sheet stating the similarities and differences between the two places.
