Sometimes things happen online that make us feel worried, scared or upset. Whatever has happened, it is not your fault. The best thing to do is tell an adult you trust how you are feeling and what has happened. They will be able to help you.
You already know that if you are ever worried about anything you come across on the internet, you can talk to any grown up in school. BUT if school is closed, what can you do to keep yourself safe?

Childline
You can talk to Childline about anything, including any worries you have about your safety on the internet. No problem is too big or too small. It’s confidential and you don’t have to give your name if you don’t want to.

CEOP
CEOP helps young people who are being abused or are worried that someone they’ve met is trying to abuse them.
If you’ve met someone online, or face to face, and they are putting you under pressure to do something you don’t want to do or making you feel uncomfortable you should report to CEOP.

Safety Net Kids
Safety Net asked 150 children and young people to tell them what worried them about cyberbullying and internet safety and created a website with top tips on how to deal with cyberbullying, how to stay safe online and how to stay safe using mobile phones.
