In guided reading this year we have been looking at inference! We have looked at 'Alice in Wonderland' and 'Fantastic Mr Fox'. Each group have been working on a different activity each day. Throughout these different activities and lessons we have been using our inference skills to spot clues in the text and generate our own opinions. The engagement with these activities has been fantastic! Next week we will be looking at a different skill and also a new text!

This week our new skill in guided reading is summarisation! alongside completing a range of activities including ordering the text, comprehension questions and summarising key parts of the text we have had a number of active inputs! Below is a video of when Elder had to state the most important part of the text and get it on the board before the time ran out!
