Island Invaders
To start our first Adventure, we needed to learn some key facts about the Anglo Saxons and how they settled in Britain many years ago. The children did a Burn2learn where they had to match answers to sets of questions. This helped them find out where the Anglo Saxons came from and why they chose to invade our country.
At the end of September, we attended a trip to Murton Park, which has its own Anglo Saxon Village. We did a variety of activities here, where we learnt all about how Anglo Saxons lived.
After the trip, we wrote a recount of the day. We were looking at how to use expanded noun phrases and had a go at coming up with some, using different pictures from the day to help us!
