smiley

Welcome back to Westwood, I hope you have all had a brilliant summer! It has been wonderful to see all the children come to class looking very smart and ready for the new school year! The children in 5/6W have already produced some fantastic work and should be extremely proud of themselves for having such a positive attitude towards their learning.

Our adventure for this half term

Our adventure is called 'The Mysterious Mayan Mission'. We are going to be learning all about the ancient Mayan civilisation through following a story of a famous explorer who wants to time travel back in time and take tourists to visit the Mayan people. So far we have learnt about where they lived, 'imagineered' travelling in our time machine and written a setting description of the Mayan civilisation in Chichen Itza. What happens next is top secret but parents will be invited into school later in the term to see all that we have discovered. Check our Adventure 1: Mysterious Mayan Mission link down below to see the trailer and all the amazing things we have been up to in class.
