Reading

In Reading, we have been using the text Anglo-Saxon Boy as it

links to our adventure.

After reading chapter 3, the children had to pick out the 3 key points of the chapter and act them out as a series of freeze frames.

Taking a break from Anglo-Saxon Boy, we have been doing some work on a new text.

In Macbeth: Horror Story, the author has focused heavily on using interesting language so several of our lessons have been spent concentrating and analysing this.

First though, we had to make sure we knew what these words mean!

To fit in with our new adventure, River Rescue, we have been looking at a text all about rivers.

The River - Poem

After reading the poem, The River, and looking at the language and techniques used within it, we had a go at performing it.
