Maths No Problem
Since coming back after Christmas, the children have been looking at fractions. They have been doing some bar modelling to help with their understanding and have been completing a variety of activities on equivalent fractions.
To start off the year with Maths No Problem, the children have been looking at numbers to 1,000,000. They have needed a really clear knowledge of number and place value to do this. Here are examples where they have been coming up with their own numbers over 100,000 and have been identifying the value of each digits.
The children have been looking at multiplying 2,3&4 digit numbers. The children have also been looking at subtracting large numbers and having to exchange numbers from bigger columns to work out the calculation. They looked at factor pairs and
