2021-2022

This year the children will be following La Jolie Ronde scheme of work in French. We are starting with a revision of numbers, greetings and days of the week through the use of rhymes, songs, videos and fun activities.

Here the children are practising counting and using software to check their learning.

The children have also be learning about France, its geography, history, traditions and festivals. Here they are finding out with which countries France shares a border.

The children have been revisiting colours and have had lots of fun playing 'Connect Quatre" to practise saying different colours in french.

They have also been using the French section on Purple Mash to practise the vocabulary for colours, numbers and days/months of the year.

2020-2021
The children have recently been learning how to describe their families. They have learnt the French vocabulary for different family members and used their previous knowledge of how to say someone’s name and their age.

They used their computing skills to create digital family trees.
