Below is today's phonics lesson learning the sound 'ar'.
In Maths, the children will be learning about 'smallest' and 'greatest' when ordering numbers. Provide the children with a couple of numbers over 10 and discuss which number is smallest in the set and which would be greatest (biggest) in the set. For example, 10, 20, 16 . The smallest would be 10, followed by 16 and the greatest 20.

I would like the children to create a sun protection poster that explains why wearing sun cream, a hat and sitting in the shade is important.

Hide one of your favourite toys somewhere in your house and draw a bird's eye view (from above) map for a member of your family to follow, can they find it?
Extension - once you have completed the map, can you write a set of directions that include north, south, east or west to help locate your toy?
