MATHS-

Today, we are starting a new chapter in Maths. Our new chapter is all about money. In today's lesson you need to write down the amount for each question. Take your time and use physical money to help you!

TIMES TABLE CHALLENGE-

Complete the sheet below.

GUIDED READING-

Today's activity is to make two 'Text-to-world' connections. Does the text remind you of a T.V programme? A film? Anything that's going in the world at moment? Any other subjects at school?

Example:

I saw something like this when I watched Horrid Henry because he was tormenting his brother very similar to how Andy torments Murph by saying he won't have a school to go to.

When I read this story it makes me think how other children might have to move schools because of their parents or other reasons.

WRITING-

So far this week we have made notes about the steps to make pancakes and wrote an introduction. Today you are going to:

1. Write a list of all the ingredients and equipment that you needed to cook American pancakes, this needs to be precise. How many ml of milk? how many g of sugar? What equipment/utensils do you need? Can you include brackets to add a bit of extra information? Underneath there is the list of all the ingredients and equipment needed. It is your job to make this better! I have also attached two examples of how someone has made their 'what you will need' list more exciting, the bit you need to focus on is in yellow.

Ingredients:

eggs

flour

milk

sugar

raspberries

chocolate spread

Equipment:

bowl

whisk

plate

measuring beaker

frying pan

2. Make a list of time conjunctions that you are going to use in your main paragraph (which you will write on Friday). Use the time conjunction poster to help you.

HANDWRITING:

Practice forming the letter 's'.
