Bienvenido al Espanol en Westwood!

Welcome back everyone to another new year at Westwood! We are so thrilled to be embracing a new language this year. With Spanish as the main language at many of the local high schools we have made the decision to move to a Spanish offer here at Westwood. Children in Key Stage 2 will enjoy Spanish lessons each week with an interactive and immersive approach to learning. While in Early Years and Key Stage 1 Children will take their first steps exploring the language through songs and games.

We are introducing the well respected and popular Primary Languages Network scheme which allows children to learn through the voices of native Spanish speakers.

While Spanish is the core language we teach here at Westwood we are looking forward to introducing short taster lessons in other languages, linking to and supporting learning on class adventures.
