Children in Chestnut class (Y2) and all of our Y4 children from across Mulberry and Oak take part in a skipping festival/competition with Skipping School Ltd. More information about them can be found on their website: www.skippingschool.co.uk

The focus is 'fitness through fun' and the children love it! They get to learn new skipping skills, try to beat their personal best and work together as a team representing Westwood - all with a big smile on their face, which is the most important thing. 

Children work hard in their PE lessons but also voluntarily take part in lots of extra skipping practise at playtimes, lunchtimes and even at home. Lots of the adults have enjoyed joining in and learning new skills too! 

We are looking forward to the events where we get to put our skills to the test against other schools but we already know we are winners because we've come such a long way with our skipping skills this year.
