Chapter 1 has been all about place value! After identifying the hundreds, tens and one using number bonds, we moved onto looking at number patterns. We had to find what was 1,10 or 100 more than a number. We then did the opposite looking at 1,10 or 100 less.
Today, we practised our 4’s and 8’s! We started by using the number line and gradually taking numbers away. We allocated the number to something we would remember or even a person.
Today, we looked at learning our 8’s! We noticed the pattern between 4’s and how it was the same as doubling them. The number line made it really easy to spot the pattern!
