It is time to get stuck in to our new adventure! We are looking at the Wright Brothers and the very first plane created. I wonder who we will meet on our travels?

We were told that there was something big on the field so went to investigate. When we got there we found a broken plane! It had crashed onto our field! We spoke about what we thought had happened to it.

We were given a mysterious package and had lots of thoughts about what it could be! When we opened it up we found a kite inside. We put the kite together and went outside to fly it, look how high we ended up flying it!

We had so much fun on Roald Dahl Dahl day! We started off by having a funny assembly with Mr Ashford where there was lots of challenges to play. Then we read the story of George's Marvellous Medicine and we made our own medicine. We put in lots of strange things! We also ate worms!

We have been looking at timelines in history and had to put in order some key facts we learnt about the Wright brothers. Here is our amazing timeline we made!

In our writing lessons, we have been practicing our beautiful handwriting and our spellings. We love trying new ways to practice! 
 

In R.E we have been learning about Harvest festival. We looked at how it starts in spring by planting seeds and then how it grows and turns into a harvest in autumn time. We made bread, learnt harvest songs and had a harvest festival assembly! 

In history we learnt about the history of flight. It started with a hot air balloon and then from that it changed over time to make a plane! We learnt about the different types and made videos to show what we learnt! 

In RHSE we looked at games from around the world. We played them and had lots of fun. Then we talked about how they made us feel. 
 

This week our writing has been based on Emma-Jane’s aeroplane. Look at our fantastic writing we have done!
