First we composed a short riff using four notes in a table. We then progressed to writing notes on a line and adding dynamics for effect. After that we explored how professional composers write down their compositions on a stave before having a go at writing our own on a stave. It was tricky but by the end of our composition unit, we mastered writing our notes in multiple ways.
