Thursday
I will be delivering a live phonics lesson at 10.30 for all children to attend. Please have a pen and paper ready for the spelling part of the session.
Please also complete daily spellings, handwriting and any extra phonics games from the phonics game tab on cherry remote learning page.
This week's spellings:
what
now
how
when
from
them
Please practice spellings at home for a short time each day.
Writing
Below is a piece of writing for the children to edit. I have noticed a few children have been missing capital letters and full stops in their writing therefore this is our focus today. I have included proper nouns (names) that need capital letters at the beginning, this would apply for names of people and places, see if you can spot where I have made a mistake and correct it. I have also spelt some of this week's spellings incorrectly so see what you can spot.
This is a brilliant opportunity for your child to practice their handwriting and letter formation.
Maths
Today the children are continuing their work on fractions (halves and quarters) through sharing items. E.g. There are 6 donuts. Miss Cunningham gets half of them, How many does Mrs Walker get?
