Number Day - 7th May

It's Number Day!

I'm gutted we can't be in school today for all of the fantastic activities we had planned for you - but we're going to try and make the best of a rubbish situation by having fun at home, all about NUMBERS! If you've got dressed up, please send me a picture to mulberry@westwoodprimaryschool.org and I can send it into Mrs Partridge (the maths leader) at school to show her all the fun we're having at home.

Session 1 - Live on Teams at 9.30am

We'll go through a quick assembly about Number Day and NSPCC for the first live lesson and we'll also be playing some games! I will then direct you to choose a couple of activities to complete which can be downloaded below, it's up to you which ones you choose! Or, maybe you could create your own maths game like we did on the live lesson?

Session 2 - Live on Teams at 10.30am

In this session, we'll be thinking about maths in the real world and how different people use it in their jobs. Have a look through the slides we went through on the live lesson below and then I'd like you to complete a mock job application for a role which involves maths.

Session 3 - Live on Teams at 1pm

Who wants to be a Millionaire? We'll be playing a maths version of the quiz show on the live lesson and then your task is to create a quiz about maths for me and Mrs Wilson and send it in for us to have a go at!

Scavenger Hunt Scores - well done everyone!
