At Westwood we follow the Maths, No Problem scheme. The lessons allow us to adopt a hands on approach to learning about Maths and lets the children discover the answers themselves. Look below at all of the amazing practical learning we do. 

We have been looking at part-whole models in maths, look how good we have become! We love using counters to help us.

In maths we have been looking at grouping 10 and counting on. This was our first lesson of making 10 using a 10’s frame. We tried so hard! 

In maths, we have been working on splitting our numbers into tens and ones using tens frames and cubes! We worked in pairs and then used sentence stems to help us explain how we got our answers. 

We continued to look at tens and ones. We then put them into part-whole models.
