World Book Day

Hi everyone welcome to world book day. Today we are going to explore a number of stories, get dressed up, explore the role of an author and illustrator and of course do lots of crafts and designs. 

Have a listen to the story below. It is read by an author and an illustrator. An author is a person who writes books or other pieces of writing.

Do you know what an illustrator is? 

Listen to the story below. Can you count how many books Luna finds at the library. In this story there is a book within a book. 

Today I would like you to have a go at making a character who could be the star of your book. Who would you choose? Can you be an illustrator and draw me a picture of them. Then write a sentence to tell me who they are? 

As part of world book day can you send us a video on Tapestry telling us about your favourite book and why you like it.
