I will be delivering a handwriting and spellings lesson at 1.30. Please make sure your child has a pen and paper (or whiteboard). 

Maths

Today we are going to be recapping numbers bonds to 10 and 20. Number bonds are essentially pairs of numbers that we add together e.g. 5+5 = 10, 7+3 = 10, 6+4=10. It is important the children are able to recall these quickly as they can help in other area of Maths.

 

To learn number bonds to 20, the children can use their knowledge of number bonds to 10 by adding 10 to one of the pairs of numbers. e.g. 1 and 9 make 10, 11 and 9 make 20, I have added 10 to the smallest number in the pair.

 

Below is a booklet of number bond activities, if you feel your child feels confident they may attempt the '100' number bond, but if not please skip these.

Science

I would love you to go on a plant and flower hunt! This is a lovely opportunity for you to get outside and enjoy nature. You will need to take a pen and paper, or you could take some pictures of you on your hunt and send them to me. 

 

What do you notice about the flowers? Have a look at the trees, what do the leaves look like?
