Everybody and Me!

This half term's Adventure will teach us all about who we are, where we live and understanding similarities and differences between us and our friends.

During the Adventure we will meet a little Alien name Aren who is in search of a human to help him save his planet. The problem is he doesn't know what a human is. He needs Ash Class to help him solve his problems. Each challenge we are set from Aren will give us a reward and get us one step closer to saving his planet.

Week 1 - Settling in Week

Week 3 - Aren the Alien lands on the field!

This week we have found out an Alien named Aren has visited our school. He has crashed his spaceship on our field and we went out to find some clues. We found his t-shirt, shorts, sleeping bag and his favourite book.

Aren is on Earth trying to find a human who can help him fix his planet.

Through out the next few weeks we will be helping Aren solve problems and get his planet the help it needs.

We also drew pictures of ourselves to let Aren the Alien know we were friendly too.

Week 4

This week we have explained what a human is to Aren we’ve talked about our Body and what the parts of the body are. We have drawn around our body and labelled it using the sounds we have learnt. We have also consolidated our knowledge of the number 2 saying how many more and how many less we need also measuring and helping Arens alien friends get back onto the spaceship!

Week 3 - how do humans stay healthy?

This week we are helping Aren understand more about humans and what they need to stay healthy and safe.

We have been thinking about what we can eat to stay healthy. We tried different fruit and vegetables and wrote a list of healthy food for Aren.

We went on a number 3 hunt in maths. We looked for different ways 3 is represented in the environment.

All about 3

This week we have been learning all about 3! This may sound simple but there’s so much to learn. After looking at 3 in the environment and how it is used we looked at one more, one less, how can we make 3, 1+1+1, 2+1, we’ve combined amounts, subtracted and found the difference.

Junk Model houses

We’ve helped Aren the Alien understand how humans stay safe and secure and where we live. We looked at the features of a home. We heard and said the initial sounds in roof, door, window.
