Today we went on a trip to the edge of reef. We acted out our adventure and we dived, danced, surfed and swam under the sea! We then wrote an amazing recount all about what happened.
We played a game of hide and seek with Finn. We managed to find everyone but then realised, Finn had gone missing!! We created a Missing Poster to see if anyone in the reef had seen him.
We have loved the weather this week and have taken every opportunity to be outdoors. In Science, we put our new bug hotel in the perfect place so we can try and collect some insects. We will check back each week to see if any new friends have joined us.
In Art, we printed an underwater landscape using bubble wrap. Have a look at our amazing art below...
In Writing, we went for a trip through the reef. We then described the reef using expanded noun phrases. The children loved pretending to be all sorts of fish, from starfish to sharks!
In Science, we have been investigating insects and their habitats. We went for a bug hunt to see if we could find any ladybirds. We collected some ladybirds, larvae and pupas which we have now housed in our ladybird enclosure.
This week we have been learning about the importance of recycling and caring for our world. We decided to have a go at litter picking our selves!
