MATHS-

Today we will be using knowledge of everything we have learnt so far to answer word problems. Firstly, find out what the question is asking and then complete the sum. During the live input, we will go through the different questions and the correct way of looking at word problems.

Complete the GP and workbook sheets.

TIMES TABLE CHALLENGE-

Today's challenge is to try and complete the 3x sheet below in under five minutes. Don't worry if you don't get there because you will try this again before the end of the week!

GUIDED READING-

Today we are focusing on making 'Text-to-text' connections. Does the text link to any other texts you've read? Are the characters similar to characters from a different story? Do the characters feel the same as characters from another story? Is the setting similar to another text? Make three connections from 'Kid normal' to other texts.

 

WRITING-

Today we will be looking at the different features of instruction writing. We will look at a set of instructions on how to make something else and pick apart its features. From this, we will focus on the introduction and anything that it  uses. An introduction in instruction writing simply tells the reader what the instructions are for and may also include a question. 

 

Today's task:

Write down four features of instruction writing (introduction, sub-headings etc.)

Write your introduction (including a question).

ADVENTURE-SCIENCE-

In Science today we are looking at the different types of skeletons. Firstly, you need to go through the powerpoint and learn about the different types of skeletons. The, your first task to state whether it is a vertebrate or a invertebrate? For your second task, you need to state whether it has a endoskeleton, exoskeleton or hydro skeleton? Finally, can you write down the names of any bones you know already.
