Shiver Me Timbers!
We are buccaneers, intrepid explores on the Great Pirate ship. As we are sailing across the Atlantic Ocean, we discover a new island that is not on our map...
We became pirates to start our adventure!
We imagineered being on our pirate ship and what happened along the way. We wrote in our diaries so that we wouldn’t forget what an amazing day we had had!
As pirates we needed to get used to life on a ship and learn to navigate. We played the pirate game and match port with west, bow with north, stern with south and starboard with east!
Now we were on the new island, we didn't know what to do next. Luckily Christopher Columbus was on board our ship and shared his stories. They made us excited to get exploring.
We hot seated 'Christopher Columbus' and asked him different questions about his life.
This week the riddle took us to the Whomping Woods where the trees were alive! We went outside to collect sticks and twigs and recreated our own Whomping Willow trees.
When we got to the Whomping Willow tree we had to use our sense of touch to find the knot on the trunk which opened the secret door where the next riddle and key were hiding.
The next riddle took us to Crocodile Lagoon. We had to dive down to the bottom to meet Peach the Starfish who had the four digit code and the next clue. We tested materials to make googles so we could see her easily.
Unfortunately when we swam down in to lagoon we got caught in a fishing net! We had to work together to escape quickly.
