Week 1

This week we are focussing on learning about number 9. We are looking at counting out 9 objects on to a ten frame, the numeral, the composition of 9 and the different ways of how to calculate 9.

Week 2

This week we are focussing on learning about number 10. We are looking at counting out 10 objects on to a ten frame, the numeral, the composition of 10 and the different ways of how to calculate 10.

Week 3

This week in maths we are exploring number 10 further. We are focussing on number bonds to 10. We have sung the Farmer Pete number bond song and used the numicon and ten frame to explore different combinations of ways to make 10.

Week 4

This week in maths we are learning to find half of shapes and numbers. We know that to find half of something means it needs to be split into two equal pieces. (The numbers/shape size must be exactly the same)

Week 5

This week in maths we and deepening our knowledge on numbers 1 to 10 as well as revisiting creating and continuing repeating patterns.
