Writing
I would like the children to edit a piece of writing, checking full stops, capital letters and spellings. It is important the children can recognise mistakes and fix them independently as this helps them edit their own work. Begin by asking your child to have a go reading the work independently, this will provide them opportunity to begin finding the mistakes.
In the writing, I have put 2 words that are meant to have the -ed suffix (pushed/pulled). The children have learnt how to spell this suffix so have a look out for words that are missing the 'e' in the 'ed' words.
Maths
We are continuing to look at 'equal' today. In the first question, the children are deciding if each row is 'equal' or not. Equal means 'the same' in this question and the children need to count each row and decide if each row has the same amount or not.
The next page is slightly more difficult and builds on yesterday's work. The children need to begin by counting how many rows there is (rows may need defining as they may not know what this means). They then count how many items are on each individual row. Finally they are adding the groups (rows) together - so 4 rows of 5 rings is essentially 4x5 or 4 groups of 5.
P.E
Running round a maze can be very tiring, being fit and healthy is so important and doing regular exercise is crucial to staying active. Today, I would like you to create your own workout fitness video just like Joe Wicks! You have to include different exercises that warm up different parts of your body - arms, legs, neck etc.
