Things to remember

 

PE: Both year 3’s and year 4’s will have PE every Tuesday and Friday. Year 3 children will also have PE on Monday’s whilst year 4 children attend swimming lessons. Please ensure your child brings an indoor and weather appropriate outdoor PE kit with them every week as lessons may vary. You may choose to leave their PE bag on their pegs. Year 4 children are to ensure that they have an appropriate swimming kit with them each Monday.

 

Reading Books: Children are to return their current reading book along with their reading record to school each Thursday. Their reading books will then be changed and each child will have the opportunity to read to the teacher on a Friday before bringing their new book home. Please use the reading record to record their reading at home, letting me know how they have found reading the particular book. This is really helpful to ensure your child is reading the correct levelled book to make reading an enjoyable experience.

 

Homework: Children will receive two pieces of homework each Friday, ranging in a variety of different things. This is to be completed at home and returned with their homework book the following Wednesday/Thursday. Your child will receive a stamp for each completed homework that is returned. For every 10 stamps your child gets they will receive an exciting prize!

 

Spellings: Children will receive a set of spellings on a Friday in which they will keep for two weeks. They will be tested on these twice (each Thursday) before a new set is then given to them
