This half term in music we have looked at 'introducing beat'. We began with spending a lot of time finding and moving to the pulse of the music. Then the children started clapping to the beat. They were able to clap in syllables in time to music. 

Then the children learnt to play the glockenspiels. We spent a lot of time looking at and exploring the instrument first. Then we learnt where all the notes are on the instrument. Then the children played their glockenspiel along and in time to a piece of music from the board.
