This year the children will be continuing their ukulele lessons with Mr Jennings as well as learning the glockenspiel in our Music lessons. Check this page for regular updates on their progress!

This week we have been working on our skill of following the music displayed on the screen - using our notation knowledge to quickly identify the length of the note. We then learnt four bars of our song ‘sparkle in my life’ on our glockenspiels.

The children have been coming up with their own compositions. They have been using their colours that match the notes they have learnt on the ukulele. 

Today we have been working on the skill of composition. We have used 3 different notes: AGF. We used different notes in different combinations to create 4 beats per bar. Have a look at our compositions below.

Today we have been using allegro and adaption to describe how fast and slow a piece of music is. We appraised a piece inspired by Bob Marley and used our vocabulary in our comments.
