2 – A paragraph explaining everything we have done in this Adventure and how knowledgeable we are about space.

We have come to the end of our Adventure and need to write a letter to Lunar to persuade her to use our company for future trips to Mars. Before we can do this, we need to understand how a letter is structured. This will need to be persuasive to try and make her understand why she should use our company for the tours. Let’s have a look at an example of a persuasive letter below related to a different topic…
Now you have read the text, you might have noticed it contains a variety of conjunctions. Conjunctions are really important in persuasive letters as we need to be able to extend our sentences. Have a go at the conjunction activity below, where you are putting the correct conjunction in the missing gap. All the different conjunctions are at the bottom. Do not use any more than once.

When you have done this, you need think of a name for your space company as well as design a logo for it. You should do this on the worksheet called ‘Space 2121 Name and Logo.’ As this is also taking place in 100 years time, you need to think about what life will be like then. Using the link called ‘What is life like now’ you should come up with some ideas of what these things might be like in 100 years time. You might want to write down your ideas but you might prefer to draw them instead.

There is also a commentary example for you to read through on the link called ‘Match Transcript.’ After you have read this, open the link called ‘Commentary Questions’ and answer these based on what you have read.

We are going to do this over 2 days so only do the introduction and the first paragraph today. The other paragraphs we will finish on Monday, today is more learning about the Battle and making a start to the report.
