Birch
In Birch Class every day is a fun day full of lots of learning opportunities. Some times we have so much fun we forget we are learning.
If you want to see some of this amazing work for yourself click on the links below.
Remember we are very much an open door classroom and if you have any questions, concerns or just want a chat about your child/ren the class teacher and teaching assistant, Miss Murphy and Mrs Sutcliffe are always happy to help. If we think it more appropriate to arrange a date to meet and have a longer chat we will do that for you too.

19th July: Last day of Reception
Reading
In reception the children will have daily phonics lessons which will teach them the skills needed to read as well as lots of stories read to them each week.
The children will read 1 to 1 with an adult every Friday and take a book home with them to look through with an adult at home.
Books must be brought back to school on a Thursday so we can change them and give a new book on Friday.
Could we kindly ask all parents/carers to sign the readying record to say your child has read at home and we can award them with their book worm certificate.
P.E
Birch class have PE every Tuesday morning. Please bring PE kits at the beginning of each half term and leave them at school until the end of half term. If for any reason a member of staff feels the PE kit needs to go home we will send it home with your child on that particular day.
