We hope everyone is having a great year so far, it really is flying by! We know this year is going to be a bit different to normal but we are confident that Year 5 will definitely be a year everyone remembers forever!

A few things to know…

Reading

Every week you will be given a new reading book to take home and read. Everyone will be given a reading day where they should bring their book into school and either read to Mr Ashford or Mrs Thompson for 10 minutes. We will let you all know which day you have been given, which could be from Monday to Thursday.

Homework

Homework will be set every week on a Friday. This will normally be something project based and should be completed for the following week.

Spellings

Spellings will also be sent home on a Friday and should be learnt at home by the following Thursday for a spelling test. We change the spelling lists every 2 weeks to give everyone a good chance to learn them.
