Online Safety
KS1
In KS1 our children learn about the importance of keeping their login information safe and how to save their work in a safe place such as 'My Work' folder. We discuss what good online behaviour looks like and what to do if someone is unkind or upsets you.
The children also begin to explore how to share their work electronically e.g. using 2Email or their class display board.
LKS2
In Lower Key Stage 2 we discuss how and why we need to create secure passwords and what could happen if our passwords are not kept safe and secure.
We discuss our rights to privacy on and offline and explore strategies to keep safe, including the effects that use of technology can have on our mental wellbeing.
UKS2
In Upper Key Stage 2 the children build on their understanding of staying safe online by exploring our digital footprints along with more discrete inappropriate behaviours, and strategies they can use to address these. Maintaining good mental wellbeing is further explored, including the need to ensure a healthy balance between game and screen time and other aspects of their lives.
