Start by completing the arithmetic questions on the slides. Your problem to solve today is working out the value of different shapes by looking at the total they make. It's a bit like algebra. Read the slides and use the hint sheet to help you get on your way.

Reading

You need to start today by reading Chapter Two. Then you are going to imagine you are Zoe's dad and think about all the reasons he had for getting on the boat without Zoe. Did he do the right thing? Come up with reasons for both sides then you decide! 

Writing

Today we are looking at the sentence openers we should use as well as causal conjunctions. Read about them on the slides then complete the activities on the sheet. Then, we're going to write our first paragraph of our letter, using all the reasons you thought of yesterday. Use the example paragraph on the slides to help you.
