In year 2, the children will be learning their 2s, 5s and 10 times tables. We have a times table test once a week and once they have achieved 40/40 for that times table they will move onto the next. Once they have completed their 2s, 5s and 10s they will receive a certificate in assembly to celebrate their achievement. 

Homework will include times tables and the children will be set up on Times Table Rockstars; an app which can be downloaded on the app store. 

It is important that the children can not only chant their times tables, but be able to confidently complete times table sums (e.g. 6 x 2 = 12) with numbers missing (e.g. _ x 2 = 12)
