Each holiday, first one being Christmas, I am going to be setting a Design and Technology challenge for each Key Stage to complete at home. It is completely optional whether you choose to take part or not but there will be a prize for the best, most creative design for each Key Stage.

This year, we have challenged the whole school to a holiday competition. At Christmas, Easter and Summer, we will be setting the school a challenge to incorporate their Design and Technology learning at home. They will be challenged to make wacky, amazing, creative and exciting creations and a winner from each key stage is chosen! This encourages everyone to use their DT skills at home and it allows them to show their adults what they have learnt at school. It is brilliant for the children to be competitive but also work alone, thinking of their own ideas. 

This Christmas, the children were challenged with making a Santa's grotto or Winter Wonderland and the entries were amazing. We were so proud and astounded at the time and effort that went in to the designs.
