This week, the children in Willow got a chance to meet their new Learning Buddies who were from Ash class. To introduce themselves, the year 5s and 6s sat and read a story to their buddies.
After the book, the children from Ash were eager to show the year 5s and 6s everything there was to do in reception. In no time at all, the buddies were playing and doing activities together as if they had known each other for years!
This half term, Ash class treated the Year 6s to story time as they read them a story before the older children shared the work they had been doing over the last 6 weeks.
Following this, as the school had earned a lego afternoon as an attendance prize, the year 6s and their learning buddies worked together to build their own lego models.
